Los Angeles, CA – June 30, 2025 — A man was shot and killed late Sunday night in front of a 7-Eleven convenience store in the Westlake neighborhood of Los Angeles, authorities confirmed.
The fatal shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Witmer Street, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer David Cuellar.
The victim, believed to be approximately 50 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
As of Monday morning, police had not released any suspect information, and no arrests had been made.
In a puzzling development, a second crime scene was established a few blocks away at Wilshire Boulevard and Lucas Avenue. Officer Cuellar stated that the reason for the second location remains unclear and is under investigation.
Detectives are working to determine if the two scenes are connected and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
