SUPPORT THE FAMILY - GOD BLESS YOU

For over 40 years, Mark was a pillar of Llewellyn’s Towing and Repair, the family-owned business that served as both his livelihood and his mission field. Through hard work and sheer determination, he helped build and sustain the company, turning it into a trusted name in the region.

More than just a mechanic or business owner, Mark was a problem-solver, a steady hand in a crisis, and a reliable neighbor who believed in doing things the right way.

Whether a car had broken down on the side of the road or someone needed help getting home safely, Mark never hesitated to respond. He brought his signature “get ’er done” attitude to every job, no matter how big or small.

Mark’s personality was unforgettable. Known for his straight-shooting wit and unfiltered honesty, he was someone who told it like it was—but always with heart.

His words often carried the weight of wisdom earned through years of hands-on experience, and his actions consistently reflected his generous spirit. He was the kind of man who would drop everything to help a friend, give someone the shirt off his back, or offer a quiet prayer when words weren’t enough.

His faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of his life. Mark lived each day with a servant’s heart, guided by compassion, humility, and grace. His love for the Lord shone through in how he treated others—with kindness, patience, and respect. Gospel Light Baptist Church was not just a place of worship for Mark; it was his spiritual home. He lived by the teachings of the Bible, and his life was a testament to the verse: “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23).

Mark is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Kim, who was his partner in all things—life, love, and faith. Their marriage was one built on deep affection, mutual respect, and unwavering support.

Together, they weathered the challenges of life with grace and shared countless joys along the way. Their bond was evident to all who knew them, a shining example of true partnership.

He also leaves behind a loving family who adored him: his siblings Ernie Llewellyn (Candy), Penny Henry (Gordon), and Tim Llewellyn (Cathy); nieces and nephews Joseph Drudge, Kevin Llewellyn (Emily), and Ashley Mast (Conrad); and great-nieces and nephew Adalyn Llewellyn, Clara Llewellyn, and C.J. Mast. Uncle Mark, as he was affectionately known, had a special connection with the younger generations of his family. He was a steady source of guidance, laughter, and support, always present at birthdays, holidays, and every important life milestone.

Among his closest companions was his best friend, Mark Swineford, with whom he shared decades of camaraderie and friendship. Their bond was more than friendship—it was a brotherhood forged through countless shared experiences, laughter, and loyalty.

Mark Llewellyn’s passing leaves a hole in the Powhatan community that cannot be filled. Yet, his legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the lives he touched, and the love he gave so freely. His was a life well-lived, full of purpose and meaning.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Mark during visitation on Sunday, May 4, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home in Powhatan. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, May 5, at 11 a.m. at Gospel Light Baptist Church. Online condolences may be shared at bennettbardenfh.com.

Though he is no longer with us in body, Mark’s spirit remains strong in the hearts of all who knew him. His journey on this earth may be complete, but his story—marked by service, faith, and love—will never be forgotten.
