Six Arrested in Fatal Sage Park Shooting of 28-Year-Old Frenicka Craig

Mobile, AL — Six individuals have been arrested in connection with the April 17 shooting at Sage Park that claimed the life of 28-year-old Frenicka Craig and injured another person.

The suspects include Jaquentin Brantly (19), Roderiquez Holifield (18), Mykeal Kimbrough (20), Laderious Moore (20), and Quinterios Parker (23), who was apprehended in Ohio by U.S. Marshals. Additionally, a male juvenile, whose identity has not been disclosed, will be charged as an adult. All face charges of murder and first-degree assault.

Craig, a former Vigor High School basketball player, was an unintended victim in the shooting, which occurred during a basketball game at the park. Over 20 shots were fired, causing panic among attendees.

Mobile Police Chief William Jackson emphasized the role of community tips in the investigation and indicated that further arrests are possible. The FBI is also involved, exploring potential federal charges.

The incident has prompted increased security measures at Sage Park, including upgraded cameras and a heightened police presence. Friends and family of Craig, affectionately known as “Freak,” continue to honor her memory and seek justice.
