Community Rallies to Support Samantha Gallup After Tragic Loss of Son, Jeremiah
Syracuse, NY – The community is coming together to support Samantha Gallup following the heartbreaking loss of her 11-year-old son, Jeremiah Huff, who was tragically killed in a double homicide earlier this week.
Jeremiah was a sixth grader in the North Syracuse School District, remembered for his love of skateboarding, fishing, and animals. His mother, Samantha Gallup Peltier, described him as someone who “loved to snuggle on the couch, and have a cup of coffee in the morning.” citeturn0search1
In the wake of this tragedy, friends and colleagues have launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist Samantha with unexpected expenses during this difficult time. The campaign has seen an outpouring of support, raising over $38,000 from more than 600 donors.
The suspect, 43-year-old David Huff, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Jeremiah and 32-year-old Yeraldith Tschudy. He is currently being held without bail.
A memorial service for Jeremiah is being planned, with details to be announced by the family. The community continues to offer condolences and support to Samantha during this unimaginable time.
