Search Underway for Missing 38-Year-Old Man in Palmdale, Authorities Say

PALMDALE, CA — The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Christopher Jay Cavender, a 38-year-old man who went missing Friday afternoon in Palmdale and is described as being dependent on medications.

Cavender was last seen around 2:00 p.m. in the 38500 block of Sixth Street East, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

He is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, with blond hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray sweater and black shorts.

Given his reliance on medication, authorities are especially concerned for Cavender’s well-being and are urging anyone who may have seen him or has information about his whereabouts to come forward.
