Firefighters Quickly Contain Early Morning Blaze at Hollywood Home

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A swift response from Los Angeles firefighters prevented a potentially destructive blaze from spreading early Sunday morning after a fire broke out at a residence in Hollywood.

The Los Angeles Fire Department received reports of the fire at 2:17 a.m. in the 6200 block of West Afton Place, according to LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart. The flames had reached the home’s attic, prompting a rapid deployment of resources.

A total of 32 firefighters responded to the scene and successfully extinguished the fire within 22 minutes, Stewart said. Their quick action prevented the flames from spreading to neighboring structures.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

The affected property is a 2,000-square-foot home featuring four bedrooms and three bathrooms, according to local real estate listings.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by LAFD officials.
