It’s with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Blake Edward Jarrell, who left us far too soon on April 6, 2025, at just 16 years old. Born on January 14, 2009, in Columbus, Ohio, Blake brought joy, energy, and kindness to everyone who knew him.

SUPPORT THE FAMILY - GOD BLESS YOU

A freshman at Utica High School, Blake was a young man of many passions. Whether he was on the basketball court, baseball field, or lifting weights, he approached everything with dedication. When he wasn’t playing sports, you could find him strumming his guitar, exploring the outdoors while camping or hiking, or simply cruising around, music turned up—living life to the fullest. His love for video games and time spent with friends and family showed his playful, loyal spirit.

Blake leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his mother, Khrista (Jasen) Ogle; father, Greg Stockum; siblings Kharissa, Gauge, and Hunter; his grandmothers, Michele Anderson and Laurie Jarrell; grandparents Bruce and Ruth Stockum; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him.

To honor Blake’s life, a Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home in Newark, OH. Family and friends are invited to gather from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. before the service to share memories and support one another.

Blake’s light touched so many in his short time here. As we come together to remember him, let’s hold tight to the laughter, the adventures, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

If you’d like to share a memory or offer condolences, the family welcomes your kindness during this difficult time.
