The art world is mourning the loss of Cinnamon Cooney, known affectionately as “The Art Sherpa,” who passed away on December 10, 2024. Cooney was a renowned artist, teacher, and YouTube personality who touched the lives of thousands through her art and generous spirit.

Born on July 1, 1970, Cooney was a lifelong artist who believed in the transformative power of creativity. Her YouTube channel, “The Art Sherpa,” boasted over 745,000 subscribers and featured tutorials that were both instructional and inspirational.

Cooney’s teaching style was characterized by her warmth, humor, and ability to break down complex techniques into simple steps. She fostered a global community of artists who found support, inspiration, and connection through her lessons.

Cooney is survived by her loving husband, John, and their three children: Honey (20), Spider Jack (14), and Luna Bella (12). Her family was at the center of her world, and her love for them was evident in everything she did.

The art world will deeply miss Cinnamon Cooney, but her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched and the art she inspired.
