The community of Eubank, Kentucky, is mourning the unexpected loss of one of its young members, Drew Inabnitt, who passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the age of 19. Drew’s life, though brief, was marked by a profound passion for farming, a commitment to hard work, and a deep connection to his family and friends.
Born on January 22, 2006, in Somerset, Kentucky, Drew was the beloved son of Tyrel and Brooke (Elliott) Inabnitt. From an early age, he exhibited a strong work ethic and a love for the land, traits that would define much of his life. His enthusiasm for agriculture was evident to all who knew him, and he found his greatest joy on the back of his horse, working cattle—a testament to his dedication to farming.
Drew’s athleticism and team spirit shone brightly during his time playing football for both Southwestern High School (SWHS) and Pulaski County High School (PCHS). On the field, he was known not only for his skill but also for his ability to uplift his teammates, forging lasting friendships that extended beyond the game. His coaches and peers remember him as a player who brought energy, determination, and camaraderie to every practice and match.
Those closest to Drew often spoke of his unique perspective on life. He was a deep thinker, someone who perceived the world in ways that others might overlook. His sharp wit and sense of humor had the remarkable ability to brighten even the darkest days. Drew possessed a rare gift for making people laugh, often with a teasing edge, but always rooted in affection. This endearing quality earned him the affectionate description among friends and family as “the sweetest meanest kid ever.”
Above all, Drew was unapologetically himself. He pursued his passions with an intensity that was both inspiring and enviable. Whether tending to the farm, spending time with loved ones, or engaging in spirited debates, he approached life with authenticity and fervor.
Drew’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of many. He is survived by his parents, Tyrel and Brooke Inabnitt; his sister, Jalyn Sweet; his brother, Alex Inabnitt; and his niece, Elliott Faye. His grandmothers, Teresa Inabnitt and Rhonda Elliott, along with his great-grandfather, Elmer “Hotshot” Inabnitt, also mourn his loss. Drew’s girlfriend, Destiny Sadler, and special friends Layton Abbott, Knox Kinser, and Todd Daulton, whom he considered brothers, will deeply feel his absence. Additionally, a host of extended family members and friends will cherish his memory and miss him immensely.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Mike Elliott and Ben Inabnitt, and his great-grandparents, Geneva and Edward Lay, and Betty Inabnitt. The legacy of love and values imparted by his departed family members undoubtedly shaped the remarkable young man Drew became.
The community is invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. A funeral service to honor and celebrate Drew’s life will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the same location, with Brother Jason Turner officiating. Following the service, Drew will be laid to rest at Science Hill Cemetery, a place that will serve as a lasting tribute to his memory.
In remembrance of Drew, the family encourages those who knew him to reflect on the joy he brought into their lives and to continue his legacy of hard work, passion, and authenticity. For those wishing to express their condolences or share memories, the funeral home’s website offers a platform to do so, providing comfort and support to the grieving family during this difficult time.
