Fatal Motorcycle Crash Shuts Down Lanes on 57 Freeway in Fullerton

FULLERTON, Calif. — A motorcyclist was killed early Saturday morning in a tragic collision with a gray sedan on the southbound Orange (57) Freeway near Imperial Highway East in Fullerton, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The fatal crash occurred around 12:46 a.m., prompting a swift response from CHP officers. When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, they found the motorcyclist unresponsive and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The identity, age, and gender of the deceased have not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.

Freeway Closures and Investigation
Following the crash, the CHP issued a SigAlert, shutting down the HOV lane and three southbound lanes of the 57 Freeway for approximately three hours as officers conducted an on-scene investigation and cleared debris.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the crash or whether any other injuries were reported. The driver of the gray sedan remained at the scene, but no details have been provided regarding possible impairment or charges.
