San Antonio, TX – The suspect who allegedly opened fire on patrons after an argument outside of a bar has been identified.
The medical examiners office has identified the suspect, and lone fatality of the shooting as 34-year-old Jesus Romero Vela, who died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Police said that the shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. at the patio of the Aura Bar and Lounge near the corner of Ironside drive and Wurzbach Road.
Investigators said that two groups of people were arguing on the patio, which then boiled over into a fight.
Vela, who was in the parking lot, allegedly saw the fight, pulled out a handgun, and opened fire on the brawl.
A bystander pulled out his own gun and fired back, fatally striking Vela. That bystander was also wounded by Vela’s gunfire, and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
In total, the bystander, two women, and one man at the scene were all injured by the gunfire.
