LAKE CITY, MN — The Lake City community is mourning the sudden and heartbreaking loss of 34-year-old Joshua Moechnig Jr., who died Tuesday in a tragic tire explosion incident while working alongside his father, Joshua Moechnig Sr.

According to local authorities, the accident occurred as the father and son duo were servicing a tire on a local property when a catastrophic pressure buildup caused the tire to violently explode.
