Lake County Rollover Crash – Tavia Pew, Kayy Lashay, and Kaneisha Lewis Killed, One Critically Injured

Three women lost their lives, and another remains in critical condition following a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The crash occurred at approximately 3:16 a.m. on State Road 19, just south of Saint Florian Lane.

According to an FHP crash report, a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling northbound when the driver failed to navigate a left-hand curve.

The SUV veered off the roadway to the right, striking a pole on the shoulder before overturning multiple times.

The vehicle was being driven by a 30-year-old woman from Mount Dora. Her passengers were identified as Tavia Pew, Kayy Lashay, and Kaneisha Lewis, all from Eustis.

Investigators determined that all four occupants were ejected from the vehicle during the crash, and none were believed to have been wearing seat belts at the time.

The driver and one passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

The two other passengers were transported to a hospital, where one later succumbed to her injuries.

The fourth occupant, identified as 26-year-old Mariah Belcher of Eustis, remains in critical condition.

The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
