Mary Jo was married to Joe Schmiade Jr., and together they built a life rooted in love and service. Their union was blessed with a family who were the pride and joy of Mary Jo’s life. She was also a devoted grandmother, finding immense happiness in the company of her grandchildren.

Professionally, Mary Jo served as the secretary at Twenhofel Middle School, where she became an indispensable part of the school’s fabric. Her warm smile and kind demeanor made her a favorite among students and staff alike. Her contributions went beyond administrative duties; she was a confidante, a mentor, and a friend to many.

A visitation for Mary Jo Schmiade will be held at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence, Kentucky. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Cecilia Church, followed by interment. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to, in honor of Mary Jo’s generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
