BREAKING: 23-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in North Lawndale Neighborhood

Chicago, IL – A tragic shooting incident occurred early Wednesday morning in the North Lawndale neighborhood, claiming the life of a 23-year-old man.

According to the Chicago Police Department, officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 1100 block of South Francisco Avenue around 12:45 a.m. Upon arrival, they found the victim lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The police have not released the victim’s identity pending notification of his family.

As of Wednesday morning, no one was in custody in connection with the shooting. Area 4 detectives are currently investigating the incident and working to identify the perpetrators.

The Chicago Police Department urges anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and assist in the investigation.
