Police-Involved Shooting in Pacific Beach Leaves One Injured

On Thursday afternoon, a police-involved shooting occurred near the intersection of Dawes Street and Thomas Avenue in Pacific Beach, close to the Earl and Birdie Taylor Branch Library. According to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), officers shot an individual during the incident. The suspect was transported to a nearby hospital; however, their current condition remains undisclosed. No officers were reported injured.

Aerial footage from Sky10 captured an axe on the ground within the police tape perimeter, though its relevance to the incident has not been clarified.
