SUPPORT THE FAMILY - GOD BLESS YOU

Phil was known both for the food at his popular restaurant and for his own colorful personality. A true believer in community service and a fierce advocate of downtown Hershey, Guarno frequently wrote Letters to the Editor here in The Sun, challenging government officials, rude drivers and his fellow business owners.

Phil was also a leader in the Hershey business community. In 2009, he helped establish the Hershey Independent Restaurant Association, promoting collaboration among local eateries. His influence extended beyond the kitchen, serving as chair of Derry Township’s design review committee, where he ensured that Hershey’s development preserved its unique character.

Throughout his career, Phil’s resilience and commitment to his community shone brightly, particularly during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic when he fought to keep Fenicci’s open for indoor dining.

His passing leaves a significant void in Hershey, but his contributions to the town’s culinary and business landscapes will live on.

At this writing, we have no details on possible funeral arrangements. Of course, we will post more information as soon as possible.
