GARDEN GROVE, Calif. — June 29, 2025 — A Silver Alert is in effect across Orange County as authorities search for 71-year-old Martin Smith, who was last seen Wednesday afternoon in Garden Grove.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Smith was last spotted around 4:00 p.m. near the intersection of Westminster Avenue and Clinton Street. The alert was issued on behalf of the Garden Grove Police Department.
Smith is described as a Black male, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 172 pounds, with brown hair and black eyes. Authorities believe he is traveling on foot.
Public Assistance Needed
Officials are urging anyone who may have seen Martin Smith or has information about his whereabouts to call 911 immediately. Time is critical in missing person cases involving elderly individuals, especially those who may suffer from cognitive impairments or medical issues.
