SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse community is grieving the tragic loss of 47-year-old Maurice Watkins, who was killed in a devastating single-vehicle crash Thursday night on James Street near Shotwell Park.
According to Syracuse police, the crash occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. when Watkins, driving a sedan, lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a utility pole.
