GREEN BAY MOURNS LOSS OF BELOVED FIREFIGHTER TYLER KREITER
The Green Bay community is coming together to pay tribute to Engineer/Paramedic Tyler Kreiter, a 17-year veteran of the Green Bay Metro Fire Department (GBMFD), who passed away at 43 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Kreiter, stationed at Fire Station 6, was widely respected for his exceptional skill, compassion, and dedication to his duties. His bravery and selflessness inspired countless individuals, from those he helped in emergency situations to his colleagues at the GBMFD.
“Tyler’s courage and determination in performing his duties were matched only by his spirit in fighting cancer,” the GBMFD said in a statement.
Kreiter’s resilience and positivity during his illness have left a lasting impact on those who knew him. His colleagues describe him as a true fighter who never gave up.
The community has rallied around Kreiter’s family, offering overwhelming support and condolences. A public memorial is being planned to celebrate Kreiter’s life and legacy, while also raising awareness about the sacrifices made by first responders.
